Weekly Time Line

Week of May 17-21 2010

6th Social Studies- We moved from Ancient Greece to Classical Greece this week and will look at the growth and legacy of Greek influence on the Western world.

6th Religion- Students are finishing mass booklets that they have made to share with the younger students. We will also wrap up Chapter 15 with a test on Thursday.

7th Geography- This week we will contine our study of East Asia. There will be a test on Chapter 24. Friday students will begin working on inquiry projects about Korea.

7th Relgion- We have spent this week focusing on the story of the man born blind and how Jesus heals him. Students wrote their own stories of faith. Wednesday there will be a test on chapter 3

8th History- This week we will finish our second to last chapter in History! We have looked at Reconstruction of the South after the Civil War. Test will be Wednesday. Thursday we move into westward expansion.

8th Religion- CONGRATULATIONS CONFIRMANDI!! Students began the week by writing poetry about their experience becoming a confirmed adult in the Catholic Church. These will be displayed proudly in the classroom. We will wrap up chapter 11 and our study of the 10 commandments with a test on Thursday.

**7th grade parents** a letter from the room mom's went home this week asking for volunteers for the 8th grade graduation reception. Please send this back to school before June 1st. Also, the graduation dance for 7-8th graders is this Friday from 7-10pm in our school gym. Admission is $5. **
